      WELCOME TO SAINT JOHN'S YOUTH MINISTRY

      Thank you for taking the time to learn more about our program. All youth are welcome to participate in Youth Ministry. Youth Ministry helps youth grow into a deeper relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ. Currently serving Middle School (Gr. 5-8) and High School (Gr. 9-12) youth have the opportunity to build up our parish community. Please check below for news and updates! The pillars of our program are;

      FAITH:
      Our faith is a journey! so we must be prepared for the journey that will lead us to heaven. All Youth Ministry events are centered in our Catholic faith so that our youth, and families may learn, and experience the gift God has giving us, Faith in Jesus Christ

      SERVICE: "If I then, your Lord and Master, have washed your feet; ye also ought to wash one another's feet. For I have given you an example, that ye should do as I have done to you." -- John 13:14. Called to serve Christ by serving one another helps our youth and families experience God's love for us in our community.

      PRAYER: Our one and only communication with God is through prayer! As Catholics we must live a prayerful life so that we may grow into a closer relationship with Our Lord through prayer. Youth Ministry teaches our youth and families to center their lives in prayer. Here we help them experience all sorts of prayer such as; The Rosary, Lectio Divina, Liturgy of the Hours, Contemplative prayer & more!!

      SACRAMENTS: Last, but not least "the Sacraments". The Sacraments are the way Jesus touches our lives. Living a sacramental life is a gift that reflects upon the life of Christ, "we are to pick up our daily crosses and follow him". God gives us strength through the seven sacraments especially in his Holy Presence in the Eucharist. Youth Ministry encourages all youth and families to attend weekly Mass and takes any opportunity to pray in the presence of Christ in the Holy Eucharist.
